The Archivo Gaston Orellana carries out authentication and cataloguing activities for all of the artist’s works.
The work of Gaston Orellana has been subject of several cases of forgeries notably in Spain, Italy and the United States during the 2000s and which were the subject of a large-scale international prosecution. These forgeries were mostly sold at Auction Houses in Spain. In this climate, particularly for commercial, institutional and other purposes, possession of a certificate of authentication is recommended.
If you wish to authenticate a work, initial contact should be made by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The work holder will need photographs of the work to share with the Archivo Gaston Orellana for review. We will then arrange an appointment so the work can be viewed by the artist. A certificate will be delivered at the end of this process. Fees will apply.
